Re: Thinking about getting a new GFX cardHere's the most comprehensive review I've found so far - http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/HIS/ ... _CrossFire
Seth, you know that 5850 isn't that great of a card right? It's only slightly faster than my 280 and costs $300. I would wait for something else to come along before upgrading your GX2. Or, if you can find one, SLI it. ^^ and that's the bottom line.
Re: Thinking about getting a new GFX cardI think he is SLI'ing the GX2's...which seems to turn his machine into a hot box. I would go for the ATI's, but if it was me I would save and go for the 5970. Although, I think the 5870 would be an upgrade for you, plus a lot less heat.

Re: Thinking about getting a new GFX cardI didn't see an XFX one on NewEgg, but their sold out anyway. Maybe in a couple of months they will drop in price a little bit and make it more worth the upgrade.
My two 9800GX2's could sell for a little over $100 apiece, so I was hoping to find a card only slightly above $200 that could out perform them while staying cooler. "Other Thoughts: THERE ARE SO GOOD A GOT TWO"
