what about putting a player in the motd so people can play the intro song if they like or they don't have to hear anything if they don't want

That sounds good. I am not sure what plugins Steam allows in the motd, but we can probably find something. Maybe flash? or Javascript?

Ok, the motd soundfile has been shortened. Its about 5 seconds long now, connect and tell me what you think. I can always change it again.

yes i also noticed the beginning, it sounds like it was cut in the middle of a sound or something, maybe .1 of a second later and it would not be noticed, but it could also just be from the loading time that causes this.
