If your laptop does not have an e-sata port, then you can look into USB drives, which would be more universal, but slower

Posted: Tue Jun 30, 2009 11:38 pmYeah, that's not really a negative thing. It makes the drive more universal since e-sata is somewhat rare and not usually on public computers, such as those on campus.
An external enclosure may work too, that way you can just buy a cheap internal hdd and upgrade it as needed or at a lower cost should it fail.
