Re: Heavy RainIt looks like he flipped them up with that spatula. What is this picture? Just a collage of screen shots?

Re: Heavy RainWell, if you know the history of Heavy Rain, it was supposed to be amazing theatrical-quality gameplay. They hyped the game up for two years, only to release the demo with realistic expectations that fell far short to what they had pre-rendered in the trailers. It was a huge disappointment.
^^ and that's the bottom line.
Re: Heavy RainYeah, it's not perfect, but what is, so they will have to keep trying. Maybe Hard Rain 2, lol.
A lot of game developers try to reach the next level of realism, some do, some don't. Many like this one, come very close to groundbreaking, but in the end are still very good and make steps toward a future where it will be very hard to tell the difference from CGI and IRL. Don't get me wrong, though. This game is not great. By all means, let this thread die. I was just bringing it back up to give a short synopsis that apparently agrees with most others about the game missing some once stated 'goals'. "Other Thoughts: THERE ARE SO GOOD A GOT TWO"
Re: Heavy RainThat's funny that you post that picture, seeing as I know at least one of those images isn't from Heavy Rain. The one that has the girl with the eggs on her head is from Metal Gear Solid 4. And who knows how far along they were into development on the game in some of those pictures (or if they're even from the game).
Regardless, I'm typing this out after beating Heavy Rain no more than 10 minutes ago. I'm not understanding the negativity coming from a few of you. This game is groundbreaking in the fact that it has pretty much created a whole other genre of game and there's not really anything like it. The story keeps you intrigued and the characters make you feel for them. It's enough to make you want to play through it countless times, and each time tweak and change something you did the previous time you played as it will change the course of your characters. Again, I don't get the negativity for this. If anything, if you own a PS3 you should at least rent it. You can easily blow through it in 2-3 days (1 if you stay really focused). I don't expect this to be everybody's type of game, but it's something that should be given a solid chance before dismissing.
Re: Heavy RainI like games like this, I think I would like Heavy Rain but I haven't been following it too closely.
It reminds me of which I liked a lot.
Re: Heavy RainYeah, the storyline seemed really strong from just the demo and that characters seemed to have good depth. I am just struggling to get a handle on the controls, but I guess it's something that you get used to after playing for awhile. I would have probably said the same thing about GTA IV, but now I'm a pro.
Go to know Matt, thanks. "Other Thoughts: THERE ARE SO GOOD A GOT TWO"
Re: Heavy RainLol, you actually played Night Trap. I have severely underestimated your coolness factor.
Gd it seth, now I always get Chocolate Rain stuck in my head when I see Heavy Rain. I'm looking for the best american beef. Give me fifty burgers.
