I would go with the used one, for sure I would want the backwards compatibility, and its nice to get all that extra stuff, plus your really not losing anything except for a little time on the warranty.

I rented metal gear soild. holy shit my girlfriend was pissed, i spent more time playing mgs4 then with here the last few days lol. i grew up playing that game. MGS4 is fucking brilliant a stunning masterpiece. love it

So what game have you been playing the most lately? I too have not played MGS4, but hear it is a good series. Although I did not like first one.
