Age of Empires Over The Internet Instructions

Directions for Age of Empires LAN
Install AoE II The Age of Kings
Install AoE II The Conquerors Expansion
Install Patch Version C
Double click file “Age2PatchVersionC” (See attached File)
For No CD Crack
Download File “age2_x1” from attached Files
Paste in folder: Program Files - Microsoft Games - Age of Empires II – age2_x1
Replace the existing age2_x1 file within the age2_x1 folder
Everyone Playing on the LAN needs to have exactly the same versions and cracks (if any)
You do not need the crack if you have 3 Age of Empires II the Conquerors Expansion Disks
1 Disk will allow up to 3 people to play
2 Disks will allow up to 6 people
3 Disks will max out a LAN Game up to 8 people

To Play Over The Internet
Install Hamachi (Attached install file)
Select the non-commercial license for the free non-expiration version
Next you must give Network priority to Hamachi
Windows Vista
Go to Network and Sharing Center
On the left click Manage Network Connections
Now in the network connections window press the alt key to reveal the menu
Click Advanced, Then Advanced Settings from the drop down box
Under the Adapters and Bindings tab use the arrows on the right to move Hamachi to the top of the connections list
Click OK
Windows XP
Go to Network Connections
Click Advanced on the menu bar, then Advanced Settings from the drop down
Under the Adapters and Bindings tab use the arrows on the right to move Hamachi to the top of the connections list
Click OK

Open Hamachi and Create or join a server
For AD Hamachi Server;
Check login info on the Admin Page
Make sure everyone has loaded Hamachi and is connected to the correct network before loading Age of Empires
The Host should create a multiplayer game using the Internet/IP option
Have Everyone connect to the AoE game by using the Internet/IP option
Click Show Games
Type in the name of host person’s computer or their Hamachi IP address
(Make sure the host has forwarded the correct ports on their router)
Ports that need opened: TCP ports: 2300-2400,47624 UDP ports: 2300-2400

Now you can play Age of Empires over the Internet!!
